Enhancement of the Irish potatoes yield storage using IoT

Abstract

Farmers are losing a lot of money these days because there are no good ways to store potatoes for long periods of time so they can be used or sold later when prices are good. They are also unable to save for future food security due to a lack of storage options. As a result, we developed a prototype system which shows how Irish potatoes storage can be monitored day by day using sensors like temperature sensor, Humidity sensors, gas sensor like MQ-135, LDR, and weight sensor which help us in monitoring. The Proposed system allow farmer to receive real-time notification on their Smartphone through GSM Module. In order to achieve that aim, this study adopts qualitative and experiment methodological approaches. In terms of the community contribution, we come up with a prototype and implementation of enhancement of the Irish potatoes yield storage using IoT.
