dc.description.abstract The “smart vehicle speed monitoring and camera detection” is an IoT-based technology to detect street sign speed and to indicate the distance at which the driver will find the nearby camera. Vehicle identification and street speed sign information are recorded in the database. At a distance of around 30m from the street speed sign; the speed limit and the nearby camera distance information are shown on the device of the moving car. This measured speed and their locations are additionally stored in the car identification database at the cloud platform, and they will be analyzed with the same platform without major processing resources. Cloud technology is an external entity with processing resources for storage and analysis. This IoT system is based on infrared, WiFi, and GSM connection capabilities combined with GPS technology to read google-map location coordinates. The system helps the drivers to prepare moving vehicles under normal conditions. This reduces road incidents like unexpected accidents, avoiding fines charges and other risks caused by the high speed of moving vehicles. en_US
