Influence of project management practices on the construction projects success in Rwanda: "A case study of Landmark one house

Abstract

This research investigates the dynamics of project management practices and their impact on the success of the Landmark One house project. The study, based on a sample of 80 respondents, employs an Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multiple regression model to analyze the relationship between project success and various predictors. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, demographic characteristics of respondents, governance perceptions, and project management aspects were examined. Findings revealed a predominantly male demographic composition, with a balanced representation of marital status and varying education levels. Perceptions towards governance and participation indicated mixed responses, while project management aspects highlighted both positive and negative ratings across different phases. Correlation and regression analyses unveiled significant relationships between project success and predictors, emphasizing the importance of effective project planning, implementation, and monitoring. Furthermore, verification of research hypotheses confirmed the impact of project planning, execution, and oversight on project achievement. Study concludes with recommendations for stakeholders to enhance project management practices and optimize project outcomes.
