Abstract:
Among the renewable energy sources, solar energy, hydropower, Thermal energy and the others; these are energy would be used to generate energy needs for the future adequately without degrading environmental through greenhouses gas releases. Among the renewable energy, solar photovoltaic become the major source of energy recent years. Rwanda characterized by Savana climate and it location has sufficiency solar radiation with approximately 5kwh/m2/day. Rwanda wants to increase the solar plant though the research has been conducted were few. The objective of this study was to conducted on the analysis of the environmental factors that frequently affect the solar power efficiency of Rwamagana solar power. This study focused only on temperature and solar irradiation as the major factors. The modeling and simulation of solar photovoltaic module from the plant (plant has same type module polycrystalline-BYD-300p6-36) had be done by changing parameters of The temperature(20.3,24.13,26.2,27.2) and solar irradiation (124.2;604.4W;1000W/m2) .P-V and I-V curves had been generated .The Assessment proved that as long as the solar irradiation increased the power also increased contrary to temperature whenever it increased the power decreased .the observation from P-V curves showed that temperature was the major factor affecting solar power photovoltaic .This problem should be resolved by applying the other technology to prevent the losses of power. Bifacial Solar module can be used instead of polycrystalline to enhance the performance of power; Dc fan solar cooling system, floating solar panels on the body of water such lake, reservoirs
