dc.description.abstract This project investigates the design and control of a hybrid energy system integrating solar energy and grid electricity for smart crop storage. As the agricultural sector seeks to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability, this hybrid approach offers a promising solution. The system incorporates solar photovoltaic (PV) panels alongside traditional grid connections to ensure a reliable energy supply for crop storage facilities. A robust control strategy, utilizing model predictive control (MPC), is implemented to optimize energy usage, balancing solar generation with grid demands in real time. Simulations demonstrate the system's capability to significantly reduce energy costs while maintaining optimal storage conditions. The integration of IoT technology facilitates real-time monitoring and data-driven decisionmaking, further improving system performance. Results highlight a marked reduction in carbon footprint compared to conventional energy systems. This research emphasizes the potential of hybrid energy systems in promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Future studies will explore scalability and adaptability to different crop types and regional energy profiles.
